The Not an Accident Campaign (NAC) is a national alliance committed to reforming the classification of preventable deaths by coroners, medical examiners, and public agencies. Founded by Candace Lightner, the founder of We Save Lives and Mothers Against Drunk Driving, and Matt Capelouto, founder of Stop Drug Homicide, we work to ensure that official records, public policies, and media reporting accurately reflect the true causes of these tragedies, rather than relying on misleading or arbitrary labels.
